Boy Scout Golf Classic. The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness. For over a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. Cattle Baron’s Ball – American Cancer Society. For nearly a century, the American Cancer Society has fought for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. By taking what we’ve learned through research and turning it into what we do, we have contributed to a 15 percent decrease in the overall cancer death rate between the early 1990s and 2005. Children’s Chair-ity event! – The Children’s Village. On Dec. 6th, 2012, community leaders and elected officials came together to host the 6th Annual Children’s Chair-ity Event benefiting the abandoned, abused, and otherwise homeless children who live in the cottages at The Children’s Village at Christian City. The event, organized by some hard working volunteers, was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Dolce Atlanta in PTC. and created the potential for more birthday celebrations. Fragile Kids Foundation – Ride for Fragile Kids. Fragile Kids is a non-profit organization that provides wheelchair lifts for home and vans, ramping,specialty seating, bathing equipment, toileting equipment, therapy bikes, strollers, and much more to the medically fragile children of Georgia. We help fill the “insurance gap” between what is deemed medically necessary for a medically fragile child and what is actually covered by private insurance or Medicaid. Healing4Heroes. Healing4Heroes is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting our military service members and veterans lead healthy, productive lives. Our objective is to connect wounded service members, as well as those with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury, with certified service dogs. Joseph Sams School – Annual Dinner Dance & Auction. The goal of the programs offered at The Joseph Sams School is to support and educate individuals to become productive members of society and experience greater independence in life. We maintain a strong relationship with school families and have extensive support from parents and community members. The Joseph Sams School is located in Fayetteville, Georgia and currently serves children from several Georgia counties. The school provides intense educational training as well as speech and language therapy for its students. Piedmont Fayette Hospital Auxiliary. Piedmont Fayette Hospital’s Auxiliary volunteers are a dedicated group of individuals that have contributed over 600,000 hours of service to our patients, families, staff and our community. TheAuxiliary has also gifted wheelchairs, decor to beautify family waiting areas, cardiac monitoring equipment, as well as gardens and holiday decorations. In addition, the Auxiliary has most recently gifted the latest neonatal technology, a Giraffe OmniBed, which allows physicians and nurses to care for and monitor premature infants with minimal disturbance. Promise Place. Promise Place exists to prevent domestic violence through awareness programs, educational training and providing safe environments for the victims and their families, utilizing legal, advocacy, emergency shelters and transitional housing. The vision of Promise Place is to empower local communities to eradicate domestic violence and promote emotional and physical healing for our clients. We serve victims of domestic violence and their children in the Griffin Georgia Judicial Curcuit which includes Fayette, Spalding, Pik,e and Upson counties. Promise Place provides an undisclosed Emergency Shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children. This is a place for victims to turn to for safety. Additional information: Promise Place
