On April 26th and May 3rd 2014, Mucklow’s Fine Jewelry will continue our eighth annual tradition of supporting the “Promise Place” charity by giving children the opportunity to create beautiful jewelry as Mother’s Day gifts.
The pieces are made of precious metals and crafted by children for their mothers, with the help of Mr. Mucklow and his staff.“The experience becomes part of the gift, which the children share not only with their mothers at the presentation on Mother’s Day, but also with the fathers, grandparents and significant individuals that accompany them to the event,”
The beauty and value in these pieces run deep. Not only is the jewelry a family keepsake, but the proceeds from the event also benefit families in the community.
Part of the money collected for each item goes to Promise Place, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to victims of domestic violence and their children throughout Fayette, Spalding, Pike and Upson counties.
Since 2009, Mucklow’s has presented Promise Place with more than $5,000 in donations. The support has been greatly appreciated since Promise Place relies on donations and volunteers to continue operating their many services, which include a 24-hour hot line, emergency shelter and community education.
“We thank Robert Mucklow for having the creative vision to implement this fundraiser,” says Vanessa Mottley, Executive Director at Promise Place “Domestic violence is something that impacts our entire community and it’s wonderful to see the community come together to create something of lasting beauty while raising money for a great cause.”
This community is all about family and we’re proud to be part of it. This event is an invitation to the community to share in a unique experience that benefits a great organization.
This year, the jewelry design choice is a sterling silver bracelet

In addition to the jewelry, children are also invited to make handmade Mother’s Day cards at the craft table, and to enjoy games and music.
All children must be accompanied by an adult and the event is first come, first served, while supplies last.
The 8th Annual Mother’s Day Workshop will be held on two successive Saturdays – April 26th and May 3rd, 2014 – from 10am to 3pm at Mucklow’s Fine Jewelry in Peachtree City.
